Does Cradlewise test for lead?

Our products and any accessible component are subject to and meet stringent federal safety requirements that assure no hazardous exposure to lead or any other harmful substance. Our products are tested by U.S.-accredited, certified, and listed test laboratories.


Here is the test method that CPSC employs:

The CPSC tests for lead content using two main methods for different materials: CPSC-CH-E1001-08.3 for metal components and CPSC-CH-E1002-08.3 for non-metal products and paints. Both methods involve digesting the sample in a strong acid and then using Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) to analyze the resulting solution and determine the total lead concentration.

For your information, it is important to know that home lead test kits are not exact enough to meet the Federal requirements.
